Merchant empathy

What was the biggest challenge you faced in creating your store?

Navigating to the sections I wanted to edit/create. I didn't realize some actions opened a new tab instead of a breadcrumb-type of nav. I found myself with lots of open tabs that I had to flip through and lost my place a lot.

What worked really well when using our platform?

Editing content, moving it around, hiding it and dropping in photos was easy and intuitive for me.

What could be improved when using our platform?

UI could use some improvement. Breadcrumbs might help merchants not get so lost. Better content hierarchy in the menu items available might also help with navigating the various components you're trying to modify.

How did this experience help you build empathy for our merchants?

I think it can be overwhelming trying to figure out where the heck to start, and what certain terms mean and what certain icons mean. For someone who's never used any type of CMS, this can be intimidating! I think first-timers can get easily lost in the labyrinth.

What is your biggest takeaway from this experience?

It can take a long time to do a little (even just exploring and poking around). Setting up a store requires not only a lot of time, but a lot of info consumption.
